Art of Courage Performance in Florence

Art of Courage delves into the human price of war and the rich tapestry of Ukrainian culture. It revolves around a young friendship group on the brink of celebrating Ukraine's independence in 1991. Amidst national holidays, fortune readings, and attempts to predict love lives, the eternal spirits of Ukraine, the Wind and Mavkas, observe from afar. With their knowledge of the past and future, these creatures strive to warn the friends about the looming inevitability of war. Yet, even in the face of dire circumstances, love and courage blossom, igniting a flame of hope.

Trajectorie Exhibition

Our exhibition Trajectoire celebrates our interconnecting web of identities and passions as people. Through our diverse yet uniting sense of efficacious storytelling, each artist will have their unique interpretation of the above statement. The backdrop of the title, meaning trajectory in French, is to manifest the development of creative relationships through the assembly of this event, sharing a positive, upward direction for our collective lives. Providing the music on opening night, Terra Rouge, Better Than Sex and Tellerwood are performing an eclectic mix of dark alternative pop; witty, orchestrated cabaret jazz; psychedelic rock and post-punk revival. Linking to the theme of blossoming, harmonising amity, we are raising funds to support Art of Courage Ukraine to assist children impacted by the full-scale russian invasion, lovingly bringing some sunshine into lives that need it.

ART OF COURAGE AT THE MEETING OF EUROPEAN THEATRICAL ACADEMIES (META)

In 2023 we received a special invitation to perform a revised, shortened version of our original play at the prestigious Meeting of European Theatrical Academies (META). This work serves as the developmental basis for our extended, immersive verison to be performed in 2024.

This iteration of the play is a captivating exploration of diverse storylines and characters, ranging from mythical creatures to soldiers and tourists. 

While it won't be an immersive experience, it promises to take you on a powerful journey within the classical theatre setting.
